Music Festival Experience/ Travel Guide

Hey babes!!! I’m back. I went on vacation for my bday to Miami for Rolling Loud... well let me tell you it wasn’t what I expected. This was my first music festival but I had to go because the line up was dope!
Well I want to tell you about my experience and some tips from what I learned. One the trip was awesome and I saw all my favorite artist! It was the best way to spend my trip.

One going to a festival look at your line up and it usually will determine the main genre of artist.. well this was a rap fest soooo I should have expected things to get rowdy.
Number one of you aren’t a rager or a party animal... DO NOT try to go to the from or middle... I literally got sucked into a mosh pit and almost drowned... yes.. drowned by people. I was literally swimming through people and we were being pushed left to right.. it was insannneeeee! All the artist wanted everyone one to be super hype so they encouraged mosh pits.. well that was my first experience and it was a near death experience.
Two... stay HYDRATED... you are literally surrounded by body heat and just heat.. you will get drained very fast. I don’t recommend consuming alcohol or any type of narcotics... unless you are really hydrated... we saw tooo many people pass out because of the lack of hydration and being under the influence.
Three.. dress light. You will literally sweat to death it’s so hot.. also pack a puncho or umbrella for weather purposes... well I wish I would have checked the weather.. on the third day we got rained on bad and had to purchase a poncho there. Save yourself and be smart pack it.
Four.. invest in a water backpack.. that will help you stay hydrated thought out the day and honestly in my opinion is the best investment.
Five.. honestly just plan ahead.. these things are not cheap! Especially if you aren’t in your home town.. think about food, stay, transportation and out that into you over all budget.
Six be very careful! Don’t take anything from anyone or don’t get in strangers cars even if y’all became festival buddies... not everyone always has good intentions!
Seven just have fun!!!! But be safe of course!
There’s more things to consider but those are the things that stuck out to me and came across my mind at multiple times while I was there. Coachella is a dream and would be the last festival I go to if I ever get the chance but i don’t think festivals are for me... I would rather just have a nice vacay! But I really enjoyed myself and I won’t ever forget this trip!!

The first Monday in May

Well babes it’s that time again! Met Gala Monday’s! I love the met Gala and what it does for the fashion industry, all the creativity that goes into it is incredible! I’m really excited to see this years looks and theme, I one day wish I will be invited to attend the Met Gala but until then a girl can only dream. If you don’t know what the Met Gala is, it’s a prestige fashion event and only the best of the best is invited, of course your fave celebrities, models, actors, designers you name it and they come together to celebrate and fundraise for the costume institute for the Metropolitan Musuem of Arts. They create these incredible and extravagant exhibits and shocase the history behind these themes and how things came about long ago in the fashion industry. Then each designer will design their person based on the theme of the exhibit. It’s incredible. In this I will post some of my fav looks

A few ways to cater to yourself

Happy Sunday babes.. Sunday’s are usually for relaxing after you get everything done.. it’s the final day you have to relax until you start a fresh new week.. I wanted to share a few ways you can cater to yourself.

Don’t be afraid to put yourself first and cater to yourself, you need love as well and self love is very important

I love to just sit and relax.. clear your head... I also pray.. but of course if you aren’t religious any type of meditation or mind clearing is great. I like to forget what happened the previous week.
Set new goal for the up coming week and start fresh.. each week is different and you can’t always hold what happpend last week and carry it to the next. Stay positive as much as you can! Negativity causes stress.. and wrinkles my girls lol! Just chill in your favorite pjs and for me I watch Netflix... Criminal minds to be exact.. eat your favorite foods (I love candy.. that’s a food right?). You can also start all this off with a steamy shower, and a in depth face routine is great to free up your skin and let it breathe.. you will feel so refreshed. A good skin care mask is great. Also don’t be afraid to do this with your girlfriends if they make you feel better or do this alone.. I’m personally a home body so I enjoy relaxing alone. But nothing like a good group of friends to make you laugh and free your spirit.

Cleaning also helps me feel relieved.. if my house is a mess I feel very unorganized and my brain feels cluttered. So de clutter stuff organize so your mind can see and think clearly. You would be surprised of how sometimes your surroundings can effect the way you feel. Nothing like a clean space for clean thoughts.

And a great night cap is the best way to top it off... cook yourself something nice.. or take out.. a glass of wine will definitely do the trick and end it with a bubble bath or showers, light your favorite candles and get ready for an awesome week, whether you work.. have school and anything.
